Joseph Edward Waisanen, a.k.a. Joe or Joey, 33 at the time of his disappearance, white male, 6' 6" tall, 220-240 pounds, missing since March 20, 2016 |
Joseph Waisanen, age 33, of L'Anse, Michigan, and his blue 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with Michigan license plate CKT0729, have been missing without a trace since March 20, 2016.
Note: Joseph's truck was found on April 17 by a passing ATVer, south of 40 Foot Falls, and Joseph was found deceased on April 29 by a hiker, 5 miles away from his truck.

The Michigan State Police Calumet Post is the agency with jurisdiction over this investigation.

The Joseph Waisanen missing-person case was investigated by Michigan State Police troopers from the Calumet and Negaunee Township Posts.
Troopers, two State Police K-9 units, a State Police helicopter, and search personnel from Marquette County Search and Rescue, and Baraga County Search and Rescue, searched the 40 Foot Falls area for any sign of Joseph without success.
