As
a community service, MiBSAR assists Upper Peninsula race directors with
racecourse maps for extreme, muscle-powered, endurance events such as
50-mile ultra-marathon trail runs, long-distance mountain-bike races,
and cross-country ski marathons.
The Ore to Shore Mountain Bike Epic consists of 48-mile,
28-mile, and 10-mile mountain bike racecourses in the rugged hills and
valleys of northern Marquette County, which is located in the central
Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The Noquemanon
Ski Marathon consists of a 50-kilometer ski marathon and a 24-kilometer
ski half-marathon in the bush between Ishpeming and Marquette in the
central Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The Marquette Trial 50 consists of a 50-mile ultra-marathon
trail run and a 50-kilometer ultra-marathon trail run held on single-tracks
in the hills of northern Marquette County in the central Upper Peninsula
of Michigan.
